Where did you get that image?

Contrary to popular belief images found on other websites, google image search, magazines or elsewhere are NOT public domain.

Images belong to the creator. If you’ve purchased an image it also comes with terms and conditions for legal uses of that image. Purchased images can be paid for by usage or by royalty free programs. It is a best practice to do your due diligence and find out what the terms are from each supplier or resource for any image purchased from them.

Image copyright is protected by international law. Please don’t find yourself, or your company, in a compromised legal position. It is very easy to find and identify illegal or unauthorized image use.

Photos belong to the respective photographer regardless of where you find them. The best way to remember is to ask yourself ‘Do other people have the right to use my photos for their own purpose?”

Remember:
Images found on Google are NOT public domain.
